So I thought about Cesar Chavez, very inspiring. I read his bio and many books have seen documentaries, and have spoken to many people that were around and march and fought side by side with Cesar Chavez. I believe the most valuable lesson given by Cesar Chavez is that when people stick together, people will overcome. I hope you all get a chance to see it. You may not agree with unions or Chavez, back in days their was no bathrooms in the fields, rear to have cold water out there. Many people and children got sick because of the pesticides. In those days it was the Chicanos picking the fields and the wave of undocumented started because of the guelgas (strikes). In all fairness think about it for a second, we women in a long road trip if we need to use the restroom. We wont pull over to the side of the road and do what we need. No way, we will drive miles until we come to a clean and safe bathroom. So all these women picking grapes not having a bathroom. Somethings should of been provided to late now. Just my two cents. Unless youve been out working en el Asadon, the heat omg, picking grapes at 3:00 pm or pruning vineyards, it will be hard to relate to field workers. I have done all that work. I am often told, You drive a lot. You work so hard. You need a break. Once you have picked the fields everything else is a piece of cake. I enjoy so much my work and I can work day and night, it dont bother me, anything better than the fields. Cesar Chavez meant well, corruption exists and then there is those individuals that will have no mercy, we all fight for what we believe in. Cesar Chavez, has always been a true inspiration of what a Determine man can do.
