So I took the train to the last stop in the Interlaken area, but I wasnt done yet. I had to take another train to get to the gondola (photo 1-2). Then I took the gondola halfway up the mountain (photo 3). But I wasnt done. From there I caught a train taking me the rest of the way. Or so I thought. Once in Murren (where my hotel location is listed as -photo 4) I was directed to a fenicular (photo 5) and was informed that I had to take it to the top (photo 6). So I get to the top and learn that I now need to walk down a gravel hiking path for 20 min (photo 7-8; Pension Sonnenberg). I have a rolling bag and a carry on bag, plus I bought groceries for three days since theres apparently nothing there but the hotel/hostel. When I arrive, I find out that it is not a hostel (even though they offer dorm beds) so there is no kitchen for me to use. Then Im directed to my room the size of my thumb with a view to the back of the mountain (the snow capped view is reserved for double rooms). But its still a nice view, the chef said hed cook my food for a nominal fee, and IM IN THE FREAKIN SWISS ALPS!!! Btw, this is such a dream come true for a child that learned to not even have dreams because that would require hope, that I literally cried when I saw those snowy mountains (once I stopped being dumbfounded by the view).
