So, I want to give you all the rundown on the house. Heres the story that Im sure you have all been waiting for. The story begins on September 6 of 2014 and ends today October 15, 2014. This is the story from six multiple offers including mine, to the inspection, to the appraisal into the approval of the loan and to closing. it was the third multiple offer bidding war I had been in. Obviously, it was victory. My offer was for $150,000, and the house appraised at $145,500. I want to pay credit to my much better as well. She was the one who found all of these houses that we looked at. She literally found this particular house after it had been on the market only an hour and a half. The next hardest part after getting the house for what it appraised for was dealing with the paper trail. I swear, we faxed more paperwork to our lending company then we care to admit. Its almost like they needed to know how many squares of toilet paper we used to wipe with. LOL Nothing was worse than the waiting though. Wondering whether the paperwork was enough or not enough, wondering if underwriting was going to be satisfied or not, and wondering when closing would actually take place. finally, closing took place today. We got the keys. By the grace of God Almighty and the stubborn determination by myself as well as my better half, we are the proud owners of some property here in Austin Texas. thanks to all of you for the support and the encouragement and for giving us hell yeah, hallelujah, congratulations, and all the other good words of encouragement. I am looking forward to this journey as a first time home buyer. It is going to be pretty cool. I guess now I am forced to grow up. Not in this lifetime. I will still keep the poop jokes coming as well as my other off-color humor that I sometimes more than not am guilty of posting up here. I just wanted to share all of this with you.
