So I want to take a moment and brag on the amazing group of people that God has blessed me to have as partners at CRAH. Today several of the staff stayed during the lunch hour to show a group of kindergarten students from The Gathering Place our facility. The students were entertained with x-rays of fun stuff, a cute kitten, listening to a 107lb rescue dogs heart who chose to lay on his back for belly rubs, a tour of the facility and show and tell with some rats, tarantulas, and an Argentine Horned Toad. The kids and parents seemed to enjoy it and we had a great time also. I am so thankful to be surrounded by loving and caring people who will go the extra mile! It was a team effort! Late in the day, the team had to switch gears. We lost two precious long term patients today. We cried with the owners and loved on the precious angels until the end. Emotions from a huge high to a heartbreaking low. At the end of the day, I know that we did all we could for our community and our patients. Thank you to Anja, JC, Lindsey, Kelsey, D, Caitlin, Rachel, Kristina, Georgia, Klaus, Romeo, the rats and the tarantulas! JC still cant find that one tarantula so everyone keep a look out for it!!
