So, I was approached last week by a recruiter for the Air Force. He said I could come on as an Officer and that they would put me thru flight school to be a pilot. All the benefits of it look great on the surface, and I am seriously considering doing it. Anyone out there who is in the Air Force or another branch of the military have any thoughts on this? Honestly, the only thing holding me back is being terrified of being sent into battle. I dont have any problems with having to move frequently or all over the world. I have nothing to tie me down here, and actually would welcome the chance to move, and even move often. The fact that they would also pay for me to get a doctorate degree and pay off my undergrad student loans is also very appealing. It kinda sounds too good to be true, though. Is it??
