So, I was bragging about The Secret World Halloween content. Then I met Jack, and the dungeon mission to kill him. This requires a group of five people, with pumpkins, standing in the correct position to summon him. You can apparently only get these pumpkins once per account. If you use the pumpkin at the wrong time, or in my case, die while fighting him and not get back in time, you dont get credit, and you dont get another pumpkin to summon him. At this point, you are left standing around, waiting for either another group to summon him on your dim, and begging pathetically in LFG for a meet up to another dim where they are about to fight him. I waiting about four hours of my life doing this, only to fight Super Jack, and not get the missions resolved or and achievement for the kill, just a signet bag with junk in it. Im sorry. I do love the game, but making the completion of an event contingent upon one pumpkin that you cant get again if the mission fails has got to be one of the most piss poor designs Ive ever seen in an MMO quest. So, yeah, not going to bother with the event any more. That just brings stupid to a whole new level, especially considering how easy it would be for lazy group of AFKers to wipe you. (That did NOT happen in my case, but its a scenario that I thought about.) So, if you are wondering where I went, Im in Guild Wars 2, mining candy corn.
