So I was driving today in traffic which is sometimes when I do most of my thinking and. It occurred to me what one of my blessing are. Some people might find this hard to believe but here it goes. 1. A tribute to my ex husbands. Yeah thats right. Im thankful for the experiences. My ex husband Pedro Marshall gave me the greatest gift of all which is my son Peter . I really do think we were meant to get together and have Pete. Hes a good man and father. What happened? Well, I was way to young. Good lord- who knows anything in their teens. But he loved me and I have always been thankful that Peter has a good dad. Justin OConnor taught me everything I know about music and travel. Ive been everywhere I dreamed of going as a child. I used to watch French Kiss and other movies and fantasize about seeing Paris one day. I worked in Italian restaurant and I wanted to see Rome, Venice, and The statue of David. When I remember them I remember the reasons I loved them. The heart Breaking moments were necessary to turn to the next chapter. 2. On that note- Im blessed to have sight. When I was born there were complications. My eyes were bandaged for a while until my sight improved. They didnt know if I was going to recover my sight. Maybe thats why my sense of smell is so great. Maybe thats why Im a fighter. Whatever it may be...Thank you Lord for giving me sight. One day I had the privilege of watching the sun rise over the Vatican. It was breathtaking. However, the most beautiful thing Ive ever witnessed was a school of dolphins swimming along side our boat on my way to Catalina for my birthday. There were hundreds. It was so moving, breathtaking and overwhelming that I cried. Those two experiences are the closest to heaven that Ive ever been. 3. I believe that people come and go in our lives and leave messages, valuable lessons behind for us. I used to refer to them as angels when I was younger. Some of them have been strangers that Ive met when in the restaurant biz for years. Some were in my life and have gone away. But I must say that Im surrounded by good people. I feel loved. Im glad that I have the privilege of calling some my friends. I have a handful of friends. A handful. Im grateful for them. They dont tire of me telling them. Their loyalty wins my heart every time. If I need them...they are there for me. 💛
