So I was driving with one of my youth students this past weekend when we saw a man holding a sign that said Homeless. Need help. Now I know some people have different opinions on how to treat such people, from completely ignoring them (Theyre probably con-artists anyway; they should go get a real job), to giving them money (What if their family really is starving and desperately needs this money?), or perhaps even taking them to a nearby McDonalds and buying them some food. My solution has been to always have some food/drinks (Clif Bars, water bottles, etc.) readily available and within easy reaching distance from my seat to share with such persons whenever I do happen to encounter them. After much thought, Ive resolved that I would rather err on the side of generosity and trust than on the side of suspicion and stinginess. Anyways, heres a video of my precious sister Felicia Yi sharing some tangible love with a stranger in need. I think its really neat how he encourages her to be good now after receiving the items. And I especially love her cute nervous laughter at the end. Lets spread the love, everyone! Everyone can make a positive difference. :) (And just for those who are wondering, I recorded this video safely using a pair of Google Glasses my friend lent me, which is voice-activated and doesnt require the use of my hands)
