So... I was frustrated thinking about renewing the plates on the truck (because of taxes, license fee, inspection, etc) wondering why they dont just take it out of what they already rape me for... They take so much, why do they need to nickel and dime citizens for additional revenue? So I decided to sum up all of the income tax, sales tax, property tax, fees, etc. for a year. I challenge you all to do this and think about why your vote matters. I came up with $20,056.73 in taxes paid thru various channels for a single year. I want to have a voice in where that money is being spent! A bike lane on the avenue? Sidewalks where people dont walk? Puhleeze, just give me my f.ing money back. Its hard for me to get a new car and pay on a 60 month note, but I give almost the entire amount for a new car to the government EVERY YEAR!
