So, I was headed up I-65 from Birmingham to Huntsville today, in nasty, rainy weather here in the sunny south, when up around Cullman I see another SWP Optima getting on the interstate. From a distance it looked good. The closer I got, the better it looked. It seemed to be an SX (it was mostly de-badged), it had the sunroof, trunk spoiler, Flying K emblems, tinted glass and the stance was perfect for road use. It had Tennessee tags and it appeared that he was slowing up to check me out! As I pulled up along side the drivers window lowers, so I drop my passenger side glass, as I was giving him a thumbs up for such a great looking car, he gives me a thumbs up. We rode together to the TN river. Our own 2 car roll out. But, that is what this is all about, people that appreciate the effort each other puts into their cars. So, next time you see a fellow KDMer, acknowledge them, it will make the trip a little better for you both.
