So I was in The Yard Cafe yesterday enjoying the sunshine when I decided to get something to eat. The girl who was just kinda hanging out inside, touching things, served me. Can I get a wrap with... I noticed her take the wrap out with her hands that she had been touching things with, and didnt even attempt to wash them before she started delving deep into the chicken, lettuce and tomato with her germy hands and DIRTY nails. So not only was she making a wrap for me and going to charge me €4.90 with her filthy hands, she was cross contaminating all the food with each other. So... If I was still a vegetarian, went in for a vegetarian something or other, Id more than likely be getting chicken and ham bits all over everything, along with whatever she picked out of her teeth earlier that day. Anyway, I questioned why NONE of the staff were wearing gloves for ANYTHING and I got a smarmy English accent back answer Its not regulations, not policy... I paid for and ate the wrap, kinda reluctantly, but I am a firm believer in clean dirt. I then saw the girl come out, clear tables, put cigarette butts BACK into the ashtrays, clean the table with a grubby cloth, and the proceed to make someone else a sandwich WITHOUT WASHING HER HANDS AT ALL EVER IN THE WHOLE TIME I WAS THERE AND WATCHING HER! Disgusting, unhygienic. mank behaviour in an establishment. Ye should be ashamed of yourselves and get a box of gloves for when the inspectors come and close ye down.
