So, I was on a bus a few months ago. A young mother who was clearly exhausted with a brand new baby was getting off at the front (pushing the stroller forward off the bus). I dont know how or why, but the infant was not secured to either the car seat or it wasnt in the stroller properly (something Im sure happens often enough in the first few weeks). The baby went hurling towards the ground. Mom couldnt have caught him if she tried, with the stroller in between them. Luckily an older gentleman was getting on the bus at that stop and caught the infant on the way down. The mother hardly flinched as this happened. Im not sure which of this story horrifies me more. The lack of action on this womans part. The fact that none of us on the bus were aware enough at that moment to jump to help. Or that the bus driver watched It happen, and although he offered to call an ambulance, didnt when she said It was fine. :/ thats It. My story Is over. # uncomfortable bus moments
