So I was randomly cruising Google Earth (shut up! Its a thing that normal people do!) and I saw a little road running up to the very top of Norway, to a place called Nordkapp, the northernmost point in Europe. Then, on a whim, I looked up directions from Oslo, to discover that its a 1,900+ km drive, running mainly east from Oslo into Sweden, then cutting back into Norway where it swoops across the north of Scandinavia. I am now trying hard to suppress the desperate urge to plan an epic 7-day road from Oslo to Nordkapp and back again. Im failing miserably.
