So I was spending time with my family at my parents house 4 labor day, and as usual the topic of love, courtship & marriage comes up. A couple of my relatives kept emphasizing the importance of love as the main ingredient 2 a successful marriage/relationship. While I, on the other hand, believe love is important but not THE most important aspect 2 marriage. And understand me. Yes love is essential 2 a relationship, but its no more important in my mind than any other aspects of marriage. So as u see, fb fam, I put it out 2 u earlier 2 get feedback from others. Well these seems 2 be what the consensus is about the other important factors 2 love & marriage. I agree with all of them.... #1. Having a mate that LOVES God. #2. Having ur finances in order. #3. Maintaining good communication in the relationship. #4. Sharing a common vision in the relationship. #5. Having mutual respect 4 each other. #6. Being completely able 2 trust each other. #7. Having honesty & humility in ur relationship #8. Maintaining a solid friendship b4 & during ur relationship. #9. Having loyalty in ur relationship. #10. Placing ur mates needs b4 ur own. #11. Keeping a sense of humor in ur relationship. And I will add 2 more as my personal opinion.... #12. Being able 2 forgive ur mate. #13. Knowing how 2 resolve problems that WILL arise in ur relationship. I dare say, if u cant do these things b4 u get engaged or married.....U ARE NOT READY!!! Dont do it. It wont work. Thats all I got.
