So, I was tagged by my amazing friend Taylor Morgan to give five (thats right, 5) facts about myself that you may not have known already. Never one to back down from a challenge, here are the answers to questions you never thought to ask about me! 1. My first movie review gig came when I was only 12 years old, writing for my 6th grade classroom paper. My first *paying* movie review gig was the now-defunct Films2Go, which I co-ran with my former writing partner in Maryland. 2. I started writing creatively when I was 10 years old, which culminated in my interest in screenwriting when I was 14. Between the first screenplay I wrote at 19 and the last screenplay I wrote at 26, I had written twenty-five full-length screenplays and numerous other shorts that I didnt keep track of. My strangest screenwriting accomplishment? Writing a trilogy of scripts based upon one line of a Billy Joel song (one of which Im planning on adapting as a novel). 3. While my father certainly cultivated it, I can attribute my love of movies to my grandparents (his parents, fittingly enough). Whenever Id go to their house when I was younger, theyd always introduce me to the black-and-white films of their generation, and showed me my first Woody Allen film (Sleeper) at the age of 12. 4. My first short story I didnt write for a class assignment came when I was 12 years old. I cant remember what it was called, but know it ended with a kid named Peter and John Grisham (yes, the author) teaming up to take out a branch of the Mafia in Hollywood in a fairly brutal gunfight. Yeah, I dont know what I was thinking either. 5. I *very* briefly appeared in one episode of Entourage. My face is a little blurry, but you can totally tell its me.
