So, I was talking to one of the guys with the Idaho Falls Fire Dept. this evening out in my front yard. As we were talking he mentioned to me and my wife that the city closed down one of the stations that covers our area. I guess the City council decided to close this station down because there is a lot of overtime and stuff. We need these stations and the men to staff them. Peoples lives are at stake. The way I look at it (having served as a fire fighter for many years) the budgets for the public safety fields should not be cut. The public needs these services everyday. So as I was listening to this Fire Fighter I got a real funny idea. I looked at him and my wife and jokingly mentioned that maybe I should run for the City Council. He said I should. He also mentioned that the Fire and Police Depts. need someone that is on their side when it comes to serving the public. So, I "might" think about it.. Thoughts anyone??
