So I watched Enemy. It stars Jake Gyllenhaal. Im not sure many people have heard of it. I caught it on a fluke otherwise I have never seen a preview for it or heard anyone talking about it. Though I should point out that online a lot of people are talking about. And that brings me to writing this. First I should point out this movie requires multiple watchings. It uses a lot of symbolism so pay attention to everything. By the end you will more than likely be like me and spend 15 minutes researching just what the heck you just watched trying to make it make any sense before ending up on Youtube watching a half hour video that does just that. Sadly I cant explain it to you unless you see the movie. Just know there is a point and the answers are all there in the film if you pay attention. It goes without saying that if you thought a movie like Inception lost you, skip this movie. Youre just going to make your head hurt. The movie is based on a book that is equally confusing though from what I have read the book and screenplay differ some. I for one praise the movie for being smart and conversation provoking instead of explosion, blood splatter, one liners, ect. I wish I could go into more detail but I cant risk giving anything away. Nothing after the credits though you will be wishing there was.
