So I went fishing after dropping off Scott for school only caught 2 trout had to put a little one back so I only brought 1 home, but I did catch a crawfish who is now in our fish tank and is our newest pet. He lost a claw on the way home. I understand they will grow back though. I also caught a DUCK! Yup a DUCK!!! Another fisherman caught a duck on his line and no one would go out and rescue it. So Yup I waded out into the FREEZING cold water of the Boise river up to my chest and grabbed him and untangled his wing from the line and removed the hook from his wing. I gave him a hug and then lightly set him back in the water. He paddled away VERY quickly to join the other ducks that had been watching this all unfold. I am sure he was grateful even though he didnt stop to say thank you. HAHAHA I really thought if I saved one of Gods children the least God could do is make the fish bite more. NOPE!!! I lasted about 30 minutes after going in without a bite and then threw in the towel...actually I really could have used a towel...I WAS SOAKED!!! On my 45 min. ride home I had on the seat warmer and the heat cranked to 85 and I was still shivering! It was worth it the duck was a beautiful mallard. He was so calm after I caught him, it was weird. He didnt struggle at all while I untangled him. I had hoped the fisherman I got out of trouble would have offered me one of the many fish he caught, but that didnt happen either! Oh well...it was a good day anyway.
