So I went to Ryans grave today. As I sat there laughing about the fun times the whole crew had together, crying the whole time. A Korean War Army Vet got out of his car and came over. Vet: It doesnt get any easier, ya know. Me: Sir, its been six years and I still feel like my heart gets ripped out every time I come here. Vet- shaking my hand: Thank you. Me: Oh Sir, Ive not served the country, Im just visiting a friend. Vet: But you are one of the few that will never forget. Me: No Sir, I will never ever ever forget. He was such a blessing for my friends and I to have had in our lives. Vet: And you all were a blessing to his. We talked about Ryan, he talked about his buddies buried there, we both shed some tears, and with a smile on face he shook my hand again and walked away. I cried harder. God really does put people in our paths when we need them. :)
