So I went to an OB GYN today. She did a pap smear, took blood, and discussed my ultrasounds. Basically BOTH MY OVARIES are cystic and large. One is approximately 5x7 and the other approximately 2 by 2.5. A normal ovary (premenopausal) is about HALF the size of the smaller ovary. That means one ovary is TWICE the size it should be...and the other one is FIVE TIMES the normal size. Yikes. I definitely need an emergency surgery as they are crowding out my intestines and causing all sorts of health issues. Next I talk with the oncologist and then surgery will be scheduled THIS MONTH. My only concern is the long recovery time. I am feeling a little overwhelmed right now.
