So, I worked my first shift, Thursday, and my boss had me on the schedule to continue training tomorrow (Sunday), but did not have the time on the schedule. I hadnt kept the phone number he called me from, so I walked up there last evening about 6pm to check. Walked in the door, and he says : Clary, Wheres your uniform? Youre an hour and a half late ! Me : Oh, my God...Ill go home and be back dressed in 1/2 an hour. Ok? Him : Ok, well I have to put this down on your record. Not going to look good. I must have looked like I was scared or something, (embarrassed, mostly) It was my fault for not asking the time for my Next shift). In my defense it only said TR on Sunday, with no time specified. Im really sorry. I turned to leave, and he said, Hey, Im just messin with you! my mistake anyhow, for NOT putting down the time. (and then I did almost cry; out of relief ! Anyhow, we went in the back to fix, HIS mistake...and then he added, I wanted to remind you that we have cameras in the dining room and in the back work area, and the other girls forget that; and I have to say, Im impressed. You worked really hard, and Gail (trainer) said you even showed her a thing or two. I couldnt find you anywhere, just standing around. Im going to keep you only swing shift, because you are the worker I have been waiting for. And shook my hand. Now take today and tomorrow, relax and well get your training done, so you can lead by example. And by the way, the night manager, Julie is not just your supervisor, she is my wife. And threatened me to not lose this one ! She RARELY is impressed. Thanks again. I told him, I wont let you down, Sir ! His response, I believe you ! shook my hand again, and said, Now go, Enjoy your Friday!
