So ISL has had a succesful first season and while it aint quite LaLiga or Bundes League just yet its been very entertaining (Lets just say Id rather watch Chenayin than the buccaneers). Congrats to the eventual winners Athletico.de Kolkota the Madrid influence was obvious in the teams approach and it paid off in the end. The runners up Kerala Blasters were outclassed and honestly only got to the final because the log leaders and favourites Chennayin fc faltered at the end their season and despite coming back strongly and demolishing Kerala 3-1 still couldnt qualify for the final coz Kerala had a better goal difference. While Athletico deserve the title Chenayin were the best team throughout the season and if the tournament retained league format throughout theyd have won purely coz of the lead theyd built. But the cup finale saw them miss out narrowly. All three teams deserve credit though for excellent seasons. The champiins Kolkota have made history.
