So, Ibaraki, my 8th level Oni-Spawn Inquisitor, just hit 9th. Not as exciting of a level as Id hoped. +1 to his worst save, a few of the mediocre judgments go up by a point, I trade a Teamwork Feat for another use of determination, and...thats nearly it. I get 1 more 1st and 3rd spell/day, and 1 more 3rd known, which I feel like I have to go with Searing Light because our party simply blows versus undead. Skill ranks go into bluff, diplomacy, intimidate (being a second face to the bard is a crappy out of combat role but its really all Ive got), perception, knowledge (local) (to follow the house rule of keeping the skill relevant beyond your homeland), linguistics (to learn the talon sign language our witch invented with the druid), and UMD (free from a nice spiffy headband). So it comes down to feat selection. Im basically looking at a few options: Armor of the Pit: +2 to AC is nice, but at this late in the game it feels like Im already losing that race (AC 22; taking roughly 85% of hits) Lightning Reflexes: Same problems as above. With a current Reflex save of +5, is it really *worth* it? Deadly Aim: Ive kind of become the ranged support of the group due to Inquisitors ability to switch-hit, but with my bow Im only rolling a +9/+4, so Im not sure I can afford the hit. Plus, I *did* just pick up Searing Light, which ups my ranged potential and which this feat doesnt help. Intimidating Prowess/Skill Focus (Intimidate)/Persuasive: this is where it gets interesting. Ive got a pretty strong intimidate build (Blistering Invective, Cornugan Smash), and a +5 to intimidate roughly equates to 1 more round of -2s for foes. So which way do I go? Prowess will start at +5 due to Str 20, and may get as high as 7-8 if I keep bumping strenght. Skill Focus will start at +3, but bump to +6 next level and stay there. Persuasive will come with a nice Bluff bonus, but +2/4 isnt as attractive, and Im about 5 ranks behind in getting the double-bump to Bluff. Any thoughts?
