So Im back from the ESVCE meeting in Germany and I just wanted to - TopicsExpress

So Im back from the ESVCE meeting in Germany and I just wanted to share the latest research findings with you that I learned from my colleagues this weekend! A lot of this ties in nicely with previous research findings from other experts in the field. 1. Dog bite incidents happen most frequently in the home 2. Children are the most frequently reported victims. Small children get bitten predominantly in their face. Its usually the pet dog that does it. 3. Dog bite incidents can be very serious resulting in permanent disfigurement and/or death. But keep things in perspective theyre still low on the list of the most common injuries seen at accident and emergency rooms. 4. Breed specific legislation does not seem to help reduce the number of dog bites incidents in Denmark and Germany. There has been a major call for the education of all stakeholders involved with pet dogs. Enjoy your dog but keep him and your kids safe!!!
