So Im doing something new!!! Everyday until my 25th birthday my intention will be to have as much fun as possible. Now of course this begs the question Jermaine, what is your interpretation of fun? as we all know we are a diverse people and see things differently #ratherunique. Ill take the time to elaborate for full context. To me fun is curating and hosting Awards celebration with a sage and one of the greatest event curators of this generation Duane Hall for the Children Mental Health of Ontario thanks to The New Mentality. Fun is booking my dad to jazz up the same event using smooth keys combined with the soulful voice of Nicolle Coco LaRain Veira. Fun is chillin, dreaming, eating, giving thanks, sharing art, talking about Love & Life with one of this generation greatest, artist, beings, leader Jordon Veira. Fun is building, mission & vision with my education team Spoke N Heard realizing how powerful our dreams and vocation are when we develop about the bigger picture!!! Fun is using my IBLV framework to develop the picture ;). Fun is werking at the door for our Spoke N Heard x Liive Thursdays event smiling asking someone if they have a reservations and if not awkwardly telling them there were no more seats. And then the manager telling me we were at capacity and warnings of fire marshell lol. Fun problems to have ;). Fun is dancing for the rest of the night vibing with over a 100 ppl moving to Liive R&B and Hip Hop music. Fun is waking up the next morning to pack to go to YSI Collabo Camp where I connected with people who are changing the world everyday by offering their gift to their local communities. Fun is learning about myself in others and building relationships that foster social change. Fun is going out with friends and family sharing space and time being love and loving. Fun is talking to my boi Daren Andwele knowing our patience is not in vain. Fun is being at The Watah School co-creating dramatic promo videos for our indiegogo campaign! Btw #givingtuesday tomorrow #watahOurRoots. Fun is playing for rehearsals at PATI and co-creating legendary theatre with magnificent score music that has a mix of afro house, classical, jazz, reggae and Hip Hop CRAZY! Fun is being booked for 5 performances in the next 2 weeks and in the middle of creating my first 15 min Mono-Drama. Fun is so much more!!! My hope is that as I have the most fun for the next 20 days the vibration of our community will raise and reach critical mass of people where we begin to operate with a Joy, Love, Peace and Wealth bringing heaven to earth. I am an extreme optimist I admit lol, trust me I have felt the extreme pessimism. Optimism feels so much better, so llow me nuh! lol! P.S Now I just want to clarify. Just because you I am sharing these words of my perspective doesnt mean you know me. Just keeping it honest and clear however I appreciate all love and positivity and if you interpret me that Thank God. I am a human being who embodies good and bad, positive and negative.
