My favorite excuse when he asked if anyone had a hardship that kept them from being on the jury for today and tomorrow: Juror #1 says, Yes, my wife and I homeschool our children and I need to be home tomorrow so she can go to lunch with some friends. Wait. What? The whole room was stunned. Then the judge laughed and the guy said, I know, but they made plans a long time ago. SERIOUSLY??? The judge then explained that its only going to be a hardship for his wife and that alone didnt excuse him. FLIPPIN COMEDY!!!!
