So Im driving along and see this dog in the bushes. I only saw her for a second but we made eye contact and I could feel her pain. I thought I could at least go back and give her some food. I miss the next exit and think oh well dont have time to go back, but the image of her on the side of the road started to haunt me. I had to go back and see if she is still there. She was in same spot, probably where she would have starved to death. I get some of Pinkys food and cautiously approach her, she looks like a bag of bones but she wagged her tail and took the food non aggressively. She wasnt mean to Pinky either. This was the saddest thing Ive seen in a while. I called her to come to me and she tried to follow but her back leg is broke. I busted out in tears and new I had to save her.
