So Im giving that natural hair thing a try. Before I had my hair chemically straightened it was thick and wild. Anyone who remembers me from first school will remember how puffy it was. My close friends referred to me as Angry Kid (the ginger kid from the cartoons with the foul mouth). Now Ive finally let it grow its grown back light and only slightly wavy. Apparently chemically straightening your hair for a long period of time can alter hair texture. Dont do it! Some ancient cultures apparently saw hair as extrasensory, like a living antennae that connects us to nature and subtle frequencies. I think Im already too connected to subtle frequencies for my own good. Actually, I had always wanted to try thin, tight locs but was hyperaware of the possible perceptions Id have to endure linked to the impression of cultural appropriation. Which really shouldnt be a reason ..but I have enough going on in my head for whats on my head to be extra☺️ *I am not my haaair*... theres bigger forces at play than follicles, but weve got to do something with them, and until I figure out what Im doing with mine they can think for themselves.
