So Im in Texarkana and not at home at my beloved farm because of all the physical therapy...and in a house that we have furnished on a shoestring and it is kind of a bare bones operation. I went digging through drawers in the kitchen for a pair of cheap reading glasses. Last night I stepped on the pair of reading glasses Id been using. They were still good but sort of sat catty whompered on my face and would fall off when I bent over. I went digging through drawers in the kitchen for a pair of because I vaguely remembered seeing a pair in there. Second drawer I open...there is a pair of reading glasses...and...a bag of black eyed peas. I also have cabbage in the fridge AND AND AND a big ham bone from the ham I cooked at Christmas. I take this as a sign of LUCK coming my way for 2015!!! Blackeyed peas going on the stove with big ham bone here in a few!!! Happy New Years to me!!! (My family will be SO glad to have ME back and walking and not whining and crying and whining some more!)
