So Im looking up info on a new book about MLK called Death of a King by Tavis Smiley and come across this gem of an article. According to this writer, Dr King was killed in 1978, while giving a speech (one of the most important in his career, at that), and on national television in front of millions of people. What the What???? The whole thing is nearly unreadable, and just plain sad. I thought it was a joke. It is not.
