So Im on this weird laundry kick. I made my own detergent a few weeks ago, the clothes come out clean and smell good. Then I read about adding a cup of white vinegar to the wash so I started putting that in this afternoon. It took the musty smell completely out of the clothes that were in the basement in one wash. It also seemed to revitalize the colors, no vinegary smell either. Just fresh and clean. I also read about cutting a sponge into fourths and wetting them with a 1/2 and 1/2 mixture of fabric softener and water and throwing a piece in your dryer instead of using fabric softener or dryer sheets. It works awesome! No static cling at all, the clothes come out fresh and soft, and an added bonus is no pet hair stuck to anything. Thats all from the laundry maven - or washer woman - whichever you prefer - but at least it isnt political this time.
