So Im opening up the racetrack this morning and I see this guy and his son coming up to buy a program. Mind you this child cant be more than 7 years old. His dad asks to purchase a racing form and this little kids eyes just lit up when he found out they were there to watch the races (simulcast currently). I went over to get programs for the next shift and I see them in our main grandstand and he is glued to the track just waiting for the horses. Its at this point his father asks when the horses return and I tell him in January and his son was so extatic. I remember those days with my father, but folks we can still get new fans, it is possible. These kids are the next generation of horse racing fans, lets work TOGETHER to get these new fans. Its not impossible.
