So Im sitting in my weekly Rotary Club meeting and I am quite distracted... You see, Im looking at my best friend, Kosi sitting across from me, and my eyes are welling up with tears... Tears of joy because I am so blessed to have her in my life. We are solo different, yet she makes SURE that I FEEL her undying love for me whenever it counts most. Recently, she is my rock: she actually hates facebook and only logs in to read my crazy posts. Unlike me, she hates social media platforms, but I begged her to get on whatsapp and viber just for me, and she finally agreed... But guess what, she hardly acknowledges my messages on whatsapp so I call her whatsdown, she misses almost every Viber call that I place and it still takes her forever to return my voice calls too. So if one was to judge her with a stringent criteria, it would seem as if she doesnt even have time to love me back, but thank God Almighty, when I finally get a hold of this special lady who is extremely different from me, she moves heaven and earth to resolve whatever issue Im facing. As private as she is, she fights like a tiger to protect and defend me always! Her loyalty to me is truly unexplainable and she always brings me back to earth by keeping me grounded when I opt to stay in my unrealistic ML world. How does she manage to touch the chords and strings of my overly emotional heart all the time? What did I do so good in my life for God to bless me to have a bff that loves me so unconditionally??? It all began when we met over 20 years ago, yet even the distance of two continents, Europe and America did not break our teenage bond when we both schooled abroad. I just love you, Kosi and I thank God for bringing you into my life and my heart. Its just that simple, my dear. Ive wiped the tears of joy from my eyes with my hanky, and I need to get back to this meeting we are at, so let me stop here for now. If any of you next speak to Kosi, on her private line, just do me a small favor and tell her over and over again that I love her deeply.
