So Im somewhat confused. What constitutes being metal these days? Im aware that as time passes, what was once considered heavy eventually becomes commonplace and is no longer viewed the same. Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath were considered metal bands in the 70s. Now most people file them as classic rock and roll. Somebody told me the other day that Judas Priest wasnt metal. So whats metal? Who gets to define that?Is there a double bass requirement? Does there need to be a breakdown quota? No melodies in vocals?
