So....Im standing at my kitchen sink, doing the dishes before my music classes. My dog, Jesse, is laying on the top ledge outside, sound asleep. Sudden, a little yellow canary screeches and I look at Jesse. Standing up tall, above his face is a Green Mamba! Then, the canary screeches again and hits the mamba!!!! Jesse wakes up and literally goes sideways out from under the snake. Im on the verge of fainting by then, trying to run, but finding it hard to GO!!! I was screaming at the top of my lungs as I went towards the door, JESSE!!!!!!!!!! NO!!!! COME!!!!!. He ran down the wall and into the house. I screamed for the guards! Once again the little bird swooped down and screeched, so I knew that it was still there!! The guard and Marko, our gardener, came with long poles and began to rustle the flowers in the flower bed. I finally managed to get a shell into the shot gun and went up and started looking for it. I was assured that it was long gone, but it didnt convince me. I just kept looking up into the palm tree where the little birds nest was. Then suddenly she screeched again and the Mamba came out!! The guard knocked it down with the pole and it ran straight for my door!! Esther was standing there and I began to scream for her to shut the door!!! She got it shut when the snake was only about 4 inches from the door, climbing the wall!! I am so thankful for the Blood of Jesus!!! .....AND.....for that little bird!
