So, Im sure a few folks would like to know how todays visit to the therapist went. As far as Melissa goes, she said we will kind of watch and see how she is, as she Melissa is so young, that its hard to tell if her issues are because of losing Daddy, or because the family structure has changed. I was happy the she said its easy to jump the gun and actually make things worse because you can interject things that arent a factor, hence why were taking a wait and see approach. So, when it comes to me, she was pretty blown away after getting my background, that Im not an abusive mother and pretty messed up. She said that I was a strong person to get through all that and not be like all I have known from growing up. Hell, I dont feel like a very strong person right now. :-/ (It still amazes me when folks talk about how strong I am...Um, yeah...not really...) Anyway, she wants to see us next week again...I got the feeling itll be every week for a while, I dont know...Maybe itll do me some good...then again might be a waste of time. *shrugs* All I can say is it is resource that is available to me, so Im use it, in hopes that it helps on some level...
