So Im taking a break from driving to reflect on the fact that I just spent the last hour and a half driving through a lightening storm in the mountains by La Grande. I have never seen so much lightning, nor have I been so close to it. It was literally overhead and in the field right next to me. Not to mention it was pouring down rain as well. I was in The middle of nowhere, I couldnt really pull over because there was no place to take shelter from the lightning. I had to drive through it. All I could do was throw on some Hawaiian music, drive extra carefully through the water, pray, and look forward to writing this status update as soon as I made it through the storm.
