So, Im watching Sunday Morning Live and theyre debating the issue of soldiers in combat being made to endure the same punishments for wrong-doings as a standard civvy back home. The suggestion was made that the soldier who killed the injured enemy combatant in Afghanistan recently should have the book thrown at him and feel the full weight of the judicial system, with no leniency whatsoever, which is a subject worth debating. And then theres a guest on the show whos a priest/pastor/religious type with a white dog collar. He claims he was a Padre in the armed forces and is advocating that not only is this soldier guilty of murder and deserves no leniency, but every soldier who has killed in the theatre of battle is as guilty of murder as night stalking psychopath who kills old ladies for their pension money. Who does he think he is?? What a complete idiot.
