So Im watching this documentary called Food, Inc. and this one part of the movie is talking about how meat packaging plants are largely employed by lower class people and illegal immigrants because America started mass producing corn for cheap to feed to cows to fatten them up and produce more meat and originally Mexico was one of the top corn producers and once we started growing so much of it for cheaper, the Mexican farmers went out of business and we were recruiting them like Hey come on over here! Its totally cool, well get you a bus and everything, you can cut and package meat and youll have a job again! And the government knew about it and tolerated it for a while but then once they stopped, they didnt punish the companies that were bringing over illegal immigrants to work for them for cheaper, they raided where the immigrants lived and punished them instead. So we grew our own corn because were too cheap to pay Mexican farmers for theirs, stole their jobs, brought them here to work for cheap, accused them of stealing OUR jobs, and deported them back to a country where they cant find work. And the people that are responsible for this and brought them here are getting away with it. America sucks.
