I laughed - what do New Mexicans know about snow - and drove by in my challenge to the Ford Mustang in those days. Got out. Walked around. The lake was frozen, and snow fell from the trees. I remember wanting to record the sound. When I got back in my car, of course it was stuck. Sunset had set in (I can wander for hours) and I figured I might freeze to death there. That prospect seemed surprisingly okay. After a panic of trying to rock the car out, I settled into memories. This or that girlfriend, an old buddy of mine, and this song.
