So Isabella was telling me that she believes that mean birds, especially abused or neglected birds, ultimately make the best pets (not exactly her words, but certainly her point). That once you rescue them and they learn to trust you that you have their loyalty forever if you treat them well. I am more inclined to believe that hand-reared birds with a stable life make the most predictable and enjoyable pets. I think her idea is a neat one that serves a good cause, but I dont think that I would ever say that they make the BEST pets- you might get lucky, you might not- the benefit is that you are doing something wonderful either way. I would love to hear your thoughts!
