So, Isis isnt doing as well as we had hoped. Bloodwork and X-rays thus far have been fine, but she is experiencing a lot of swelling at the surgical site, which is causing labored breathing. She is eating and drinking very well, but when the nurses and I took her out to go to the bathroom, she had a breathing crisis and started turning blue. The nurses picked up all 60 pounds of her and rushed her back into the building and started giving her oxygen and a shot of steroid to reduce inflammation. It was scary, but they were amazing and never panicked and new exactly what to do. She recovered quickly, which they said was a good sign. Because of this stress, Jim and I are going to go up tonight and stay at the hotel next door, just in case something bad happens. (Which it probably wont, but we feel we belong close by). This is a very stressful time for us, emotionally and financially, so bear with me if I am distracted and forgetful in the next few days. I appreciate all the love and support everyone has showed to us! It warms my heart to look at my girl and know so much positive energy is being sent her way.
