So ... It is with very strong regrets that my happy news from a few days ago must be RESCINDED. I will not be the Director of Sun Devils. (and as it was my very good friend and FOUNDER of the corps John Johnson will not be executive director) I should have listened to some very close friends who saw the writing on the wall. Luckily I know many of those friends will lead or follow us in wonderful new directions! In this activity, It is very much okay to not be on the same page within an organization.(different ideas make us grow) HOWEVER, It is not okay to not even be in the same book, or even in the same library or even describing a book to someone who cant even read... However.... in my Drum Corps Familys Book, This in not the last chapter! I work with such a great team of educators that we will have something spectacular to show you in the near future! I loved my time with Sunny D, however a very small group have absolutely ruined it for me. They have wielded their power in a way that was unethical and against the betterment of the organization, and in turn will once again hurt the overall presence of drum corps in florida. What is happening there right this moment is not within the values that any of the team or members that were around with me the last 2 years cherished. I am sure that this was not the intention of any of the founders of the corps either. But be sure that over the corps short history every member LEFT NO DOUBT.
