So, Ive been asked by my good friend Craig Stevenson to post seven interesting facts about myself that people may not not know. Well, here goes seven facts, whether you find them interesting is another thing. 1. I entered a song competition when I was 15 or 16 called Poparama (irish people of a certain era will know it) and the singer picked to sing my song was Colm Wilkinson (who later went on to make his name as Jean Valjean in Les Mis.) Definitely a defining moment in my youth and certainly a major factor in me pursuing music later on. 2. I was Irish champion long jumper at 16 and have a personal best of 6.99m, and also represented Ireland at an international athletics meet. I also broke the Blackrock College 26 year old long jump record in 1986 which still stands today I believe :-) 3. I have a degree in Psychology from UCD as well as a post graduate diploma in business, also from UCD. 4. Once saved irish billionaire Denis O Brien from a very nasty accident with a motor boat propellor when I worked for him in the 90s at 98FM, hed probably deny it though :-) 5. Represented Ireland as a backing singer at the Eurovision Song Contest in 1992 (Linda Martin) and 1993 Niamh Kavanagh, and we won both times, after which the irish Taoiseach (PM) at the time joked I should do it every year, god forbid! 6. I played Judas in a spanish movie called The Disciple. I didnt have to audition, should I be worried? 7. Im getting married in July!
