So Ive been doin a bit of reading on stem cell donation Leona Woods... N Ive read that in America they have a bank where they collect stem cells and tissue from newborns umbilical cords.. Think they b kept up for 20 years.. But Im a bit confused as to why its not a done thing here in the UK or is it.. Dont understand if its just a private basis here?? ... But Ive had 2 healthy boys and have never heard of this before.. If I had of been asked or even told of course they could have taken it all rather than it being discarded.. Im unsure whether you give your permission for this or is it just taken.. Either way there are so many babies born... Wonder if we have a bank.. Im sure other mothers would b in the same opinion if made aware? Xx
