So Ive been seeing a lot of people who are anti- ice bucket challenge, and for a good reason. Most people are saying that its a waste of clean water, which is completely valid. However, regardless of what you believe, lets be honest, you now know that this thing called ALS exists. So at the very least, it has brought your attention to this very real disorder. I personally, am for it, for several reasons. First, its over 100 degrees in AZ on a consistent basis. Second, you cant really waste water. Sure you dump it on you instead of finding a better use for it, but water evaporates and returns to the atmosphere. It returns to the cycle and eventually, comes back to the ground. Third, if youre genuinely concerned about conserving water then here are a few things you can do to help. DONT brush your teeth, DONT take a bath, DONT use your toilet when you tinkle to drop a deuce, DONT drink coffee or tea OR anything that is water based other than water itself and DONT go swimming in public pools or take your kids swimming (try explaining that one to them). Then lastly and absolutely MOST importantly I believe in this challenge because of this man, his mom, his grandmother and the countless others like him or those who will eventually become like him. upworthy/the-last-ice-bucket-challenge-you-need-to-see-and-you-really-should-see-it?g=3
