So Ive been thinking a lot about last nights Stevie concert and one of my favorite things about it was how much he featured his spectacular band. Every single person got featured, praised, and personally introduced. I see so many singers who lack that community and generosity. Theres a diva expectation that Ive never been comfortable with. But this is Stevie friggin Wonder...one of the greatest living musicians. It was all about the music. Having a great time. No ego. No non-musical distractions that sub par singers use as tricks. Every single person in that band was nails...Stevie knew it, and he made sure the audience did too. If Stevie has a great attitude and a selfless ego, why cant we all?
