So Ive been thinking about how theres no tournaments in the tangier sound/Nanticoke river/wicomico river area and out to the big bay when the fishing is at its best in the fall. The out casters tournament is right when its just starting to pick up but a lot of the fish are still deep and with the given fishing area most of the big fish are out of the boundaries. In my opinion there needs to be a tournament between the beginning and middle of October when the rock and speckled trout are really here. Since spot and crabs are not typically available at that time it would probably be an artificial (trolling, jigging, casting) tournament which to me levels the playing field drastically. If everyone is held to the same methods wouldnt that really make it a challenge? I think it would be a lot of fun with better chances of catching nicer fish. Who else would like to see a tournament like this?
