So Ive been waiting to announce things publicly until I knew more about the situation...so since January Ive been having seizures, Friday November 14 I went in for an MRI and they found a tumor on the right side of my brain. The situation is scary but there has been positive news, I met with my neurosurgeon this past Friday to discuss the tumor it has clear defined borders and does not have fingers so its not spreading into other brain cells. Its located on my parietal lobe and is on the motor cortex. Today I went in for a ct scan to see if there were rumors anywhere else in my body and the scan came back negative so the tumor is a primary one and the only one thats present. On Friday I have a functional MRI scheduled which will be able to show the exact location of the tumor and after thats determined we will be able to schedule the surgery to have it removed and biopsied to see if it is cancerous or not. There are some potential complications that I could have to face after the surgery, there is a risk of some paralysis on my left side...this has and will continue to be a life changing event for me and my family but there are many positives to look at and that is what we will focus on.
