So Ive decided that I am going to help raise money for Matthew Cech. Matthew has mitochondrial disease and he is 9 years old. I am doing the Vermont city marathon on May 25th for him. Matthew will be crossing the finish line with me and Sabrina Paine. People say Jill why dont you take your handcycle to him and then get up and get your crutches and have Matthew come across the finish line with you?. My response is that if this little boy fights everyday for his life and struggles, I am going to struggle to get to him and we will come across together. I am going to make a goal of donations, many have helped me out during my needs, now it is time to pay it forward. Matthews doctors are in boston, and of course insurance doesnt pay for travel expenses and many other things. I hope to have a page set up soon. My body,like it or not is going to go 26.2 miles for this amazing kid. My bib will have a number and it says fight with Might this marathon will be for Matthew Cech,and any donations will be greatly appreciated. You will see when it goes on my page. Its pay it forward, medical isnt cheap, and any help will be greatly appreciated for this hometown hero.
